According to the definition referred to the Green Paper on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) (European Commission, 2001), “corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a concept whereby companies integrate voluntary social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their contacts with other stakeholders, perceived that responsible behaviour leads to sustainable business success.”
